Our business was set up in 1998 and it was mainly a welding and fabrication company.  We already owned a wide beamed sea going cruiser and we found that our engineering services were of great use to other boating companions.

As our business progressed we got ever more involved in the services to other boat owners as well as to our general welding and fabrication customers which were mainly in industry.  This experience has given us a wealth of knowledge in general construction and manufacturing techniques.  We undertook the re-bottoming of several steel cruisers and narrowboats which included the extending and shortening of most styles and makes of narrowboats.  We have also fitted new superstructures and alterations to many craft and have even carried the overclading of existing timber topped narrowboats.

We have become registered with the M.C.A. as recommended contractors to the tripboat industry on the upper reaches of the Severn.  We maintained these vessels for 5 years, along with our other marine and industrial commitments.  It was just a natural progression to begin the manufacture of all types of steel narrowboat shells.

We manufacture cruiser, stern, semi-traditional or traditional narrowboat shells (built to current R.C.D. regulations.  All shells are:

• Built from 10. 6, 5, and 4mm plate S275 
• All ribs and scantlinges are 75mm x 50mm/50mm RSA
• All rubbing bands are continuously welded top and bottom
• All shells are fitted with four anodes
• All stern gear and prop can be supplied
• We can build a shell to your design or supply our own designs

We can supply a sailaway shell to your requirements and to whatever level of fitout, including wiring, plumbing and engine supply and installations.  We also offer:

• Replating, stretching and shortening of your existing vessel.
• Gas lockers and boxes
• Stainless steel tanks
